About the Event

JusCosmos 2026 is the much-anticipated sequel to the successful Law Fest 2025, organized by the DME Moot Court Society at Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), Noida. This hybrid law festival brings together the brightest legal minds from across India to celebrate knowledge, advocacy, and legal excellence. With a rich legacy of hosting prestigious competitions and featuring eminent judges and senior advocates, JusCosmos 2026 promises an unparalleled platform to showcase talent, sharpen advocacy skills, and compete for substantial cash prizes.

From intense moot court battles to investigative challenges, strategic arbitration disputes, and policy-driven competitions, JusCosmos 2026 offers a comprehensive platform for law students and emerging legal professionals to test their mettle, network with peers, and gain exposure to real-world legal scenarios.

Event Description:

Participants will battle wits in simulated courtrooms, presenting arguments, challenging precedents, and engaging in rigorous legal discourse. This flagship competition tests advocacy, research, and legal reasoning skills at the highest level. Only the sharpest minds will prevail in persuading the bench and outperforming opposing counsel.

Theme: Intellectual Property Rights

Eligibility:

  • Law students from BCI-recognized 3-year or 5-year undergraduate LL.B. programs across India
  • Multiple teams allowed per institution
  • Team Composition: 2 speakers + 1 researcher per team

2.     CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CSI) SIMULATION

Event Description:

Participants will decode mysteries and uncover truths in time-sensitive, real-world scenarios. This competition challenges analytical abilities, keen observation, and deductive reasoning as participants channel their investigative prowess to crack complex cases. An excellent platform for those interested in criminal law and forensic studies.

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate law students
  • Professionals and researchers in Criminology, Law, Forensic Science, and Psychology
  • Multiple teams allowed per institution

3.     MODEL UNITED NATIONS (MUN)

Event Description:

Delegates will explore the intricacies of diplomacy and international relations through lifelike United Nations simulations. Committees cater to both beginners and experienced participants, focusing on pressing international issues including humanitarian law, geopolitical conflicts, and global governance challenges.

Theme: Deepfake and Digital Misinformation: Safeguarding Media Integrity.

Agenda: Safeguarding Digital Activism and Protecting Privacy Rights amid Heightened State Surveillance in Youth-Led Gen Z Movements.

Agenda: The United Nations and Global Peace: A Reassessment of Its Role Amidst Calls for the Expansion of the Security Council.

4.     CLIENT COUNSELLING & PLAINT SUBMISSION

Event Description:

This competition challenges participants to manifest their argumentative, research, and critical analysis skills while engaging in realistic client interaction scenarios. Participants must provide legal advice, counsel clients on available remedies, and draft comprehensive Plaints based on client instructions. An essential event for developing practical legal skills required in professional practice.

Date: 8th April 2026 (Online)

Theme: Employment Dispute

 

Eligibility:

  • Educational Status: Currently enrolled in a 5-year or 3-year undergraduate law program at a recognized institution in India or abroad.
  • Postgraduate Programs: NOT eligible (postgraduate diplomas, certificate courses, or distance learning not permitted)
  • Multiple Teams: Allowed per institution
  • Team Size: Maximum 2 members per team
  • No Researcher: Researcher position not applicable for this competition

  • Each round shall consist of the following components:
  • Client Counselling Session, 12 minutes
  • Post-Counselling Session, 10 minutes

  • Upon the completion of the Post-Counselling Session, the Virtual Window for the Plaint Submission shall be made open.

5.     ARBITRAL AWARD WRITING

Event Description:

This competition invites participants to engage with complex commercial and contractual disputes through the lens of international arbitration. Participants will write reasoned awards as arbitrators, applying principles of contract interpretation, damages calculation, and arbitration law. An excellent opportunity for those interested in alternative dispute resolution and commercial law.

  • Integrated 5-year or 3-year LL.B. program students from recognized law schools/universities in India or abroad

Event Description:

Participants will demonstrate expertise in legal drafting by crafting comprehensive, commercially sound contracts in realistic business scenarios. This competition tests understanding of contractual principles, risk allocation, dispute resolution mechanisms, and compliance with applicable laws. An ideal event for those aspiring to become corporate lawyers or legal drafting specialists.

  • Integrated 5-year or 3-year LL.B. program students from recognized law schools/universities in India or abroad
  • M. Postgraduate program students
