About the Firm

KGLC (Karan Gupta Law Chambers) is expanding its Disputes and Corporate Advisory Practice and invites applications for two (2) Associate positions at its Bengaluru office. The firm offers a hands-on practice with close mentorship, early responsibility, and exposure to integrated commercial and corporate disputes.

Position Details

  • Role: Associate

  • Practice Areas: Disputes & Corporate Advisory

  • PQE: 0–3 years

  • Number of Positions: 2

  • One position reserved for a candidate proficient in spoken and written Kannada

Eligibility

  • Law degree from a BCI-recognised university

  • Prior internship experience in disputes and/or corporate advisory

  • Strong interest in litigation, arbitration, and advisory work

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  1. CV (maximum 3 pages)

  2. Statement of Interest (maximum 300 words) explaining motivation to practise in disputes

  3. ONE of the following:

    • (a) Published writing sample (post January 2023), or

    • (b) Analytical note (800–1,200 words) on one of the topics/judgments listed below

Topics

a. Actus curiae neminem gravabit in the context of failure of the Trial Court to record reasons for dispensation of notice under Order 39 Rule 3 CPC; or
b. Judicial scrutiny on the bona fide cloud over title raised in a bare injunction suit — whether denial of title in the written statement necessitates conversion into a declaration suit
