About the Organisation:
The Oxford Policy Advisory Group (OPAG) is a policy research and advisory body that focuses on data-driven analysis and strategic policy formulation. OPAG is inviting applications for three paid full-time internship positions based in Chennai, aimed at contributing to research on socio-economic metrics relevant to the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.
About the Role:
Selected interns will work closely with the research team to collect, analyse, and interpret socio-economic data to inform political and developmental policy strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for students and young professionals interested in public policy, political research, and governance analytics.
Eligibility:

Open to recent graduates or current students in political science, economics, data science, public policy, or related disciplines.

Strong data analysis, research, and communication skills are preferred.

Applicants should be based in or willing to relocate to Chennai for the internship period.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Collect and compile socio-economic data relevant to Tamil Nadu’s development indicators.

Conduct data analysis to identify emerging trends and patterns.

Assist in preparing policy briefs, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Support the team in ongoing policy research and electoral analysis projects.
