About the University 

University School of Law and Legal Studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, situated in Dwarka, New Delhi, was founded in 2001. The college’s objective is to furnish an intellectually stimulating, socially invigorating, and professionally enriching education. While the events listed here are just a glimpse, they embody the spirit of our collective effort to create meaningful change.
About the Competition
 
The Ideation Competition, hosted by the NSS Unit, University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on the occasion of World Wildlife Day on March 3, 2024, centred  around the theme “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation!”   An ideation competition organized in conjunction with World Wildlife Day serves as a platform for individuals, organizations, and communities to brainstorm innovative solutions and ideas to address pressing wildlife conservation challenges. Such competitions aim to harness creativity, foster collaboration, and inspire actionable initiatives that can contribute to the protection and preservation of wildlife and their habitats. The primary objective of this competition is to harness the power of digital innovation to address wildlife conservation challenges, in alignment with the UN Designated theme of “Connecting People and Planet” for World Wildlife Day 2024. This competition aims to inspire creative thinking and collaboration among participants to develop innovative digital solutions that contribute to the conservation of wildlife and their habitats.
 
Eligibility
The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Delhi-NCR only.
Theme
The theme for the ideation competition is “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation.” Participants are encouraged to explore how digital technologies can be leveraged to address various aspects of wildlife conservation, including habitat protection, species monitoring, anti-poaching efforts, community engagement, education, and raising awareness.
Potential Areas of Focus
1. Digital solutions for wildlife monitoring and tracking.
2. Innovative approaches to combat wildlife trafficking using digital platforms.
3. Virtual reality and augmented reality applications for wildlife education and awareness.
4. Mobile applications for citizen science initiatives in wildlife conservation.
5. Blockchain technology for transparent and secure wildlife conservation transactions.
6. Social media campaigns to engage and mobilize communities in wildlife conservation efforts.
7. Remote sensing and satellite imagery for habitat mapping and monitoring.
Rules
 
1. Each participant or team can submit only one ideation proposal.
2. The proposal should be original and not copied from any other source.
3. All submissions must be made through the designated online platform i.e. Google Form provided by NSS Law Unit.
4. The proposal should adhere to a maximum word limit of 500 words and a minimum of 300 words.
5. The decision of the judges will be final and binding in all circumstances.
6. Evaluation Criteria:
·       Creativity and originality of the digital innovation concept.
·       Potential impact on wildlife conservation efforts.
·       Feasibility and scalability of the proposed solution.
·       Clarity and coherence of the proposal presentation.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top three proposals through certificates and vouchers, recognizing their innovative ideas and potential for impact in wildlife conservation.

•  Announcement of winners: 26th March, 2024
