About the Role
LexStart Partners is inviting applications from lawyers with prior experience in venture capital transactions to join its growing VC practice. The role is execution-focused and involves hands-on participation in transactions from term sheet to closing.
The selected candidate will work closely with partners, investment teams and founders on:

Structuring venture capital deals across funding stages

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating key transaction documents including term sheets, SHA, SSA, ESOP policies and ancillary agreements

Advising startups and investors on regulatory, corporate and compliance aspects under Indian law

Conducting legal due diligence and supporting transaction closures

Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth deal execution
This role is well-suited for lawyers who are comfortable working in a fast-paced startup-focused environment and have a strong grasp of VC deal mechanics.
Eligibility & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in venture capital / startup transactions

Qualification: LL.B / LL.M

Prior experience with top-tier or reputed corporate law firms (mandatory)

Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills

Practical understanding of startup financing structures and investor rights
