About the Role

Ikigai Law is inviting applications for an Associate position (A3/A4 level) in its Venture Capital (VC) team. This is a transaction-heavy role involving hands-on responsibility across multiple live PE/VC deals. The firm is looking for candidates who can independently manage workstreams and demonstrate strong commercial and drafting acumen.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Associate will be involved in:

  • Conducting legal due diligence for venture capital and private equity transactions

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents including Share Subscription Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, and ancillary documents

  • Managing multiple live VC transactions simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Advising on deal structuring and investment-related legal issues

  • Coordinating with founders, investors, and internal teams to ensure timely deal closure

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum 3 years

  • Practice Area: Venture Capital / Private Equity

  • Mandatory: Substantial prior PE/VC experience, including diligence, drafting, document review, and basic negotiations

  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently on complex transactions
