AB InBev is looking to onboard an experienced Legal Counsel to join its dynamic in-house legal team. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with business leadership and contribute to governance, compliance, and commercial strategy at a global FMCG leader.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Secretarial & Governance
• Lead corporate governance and advise the Board and senior leadership on statutory and regulatory matters
• Oversee compliance under the Companies Act, Secretarial Standards, FEMA/RBI, and governance frameworks
• Manage board processes including Board Meetings, AGM, NRC and related filings
• Act as liaison with regulators, auditors, investors, and key stakeholders
Legal Advisory & Compliance
• Provide legal advice across commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, IP, and dispute resolution
• Monitor regulatory compliance and train internal stakeholders
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Contracts & Transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
• Support M&A, due diligence, and strategic transactions
• Advise on corporate governance and policy matters
Dispute Management & Training
• Manage litigation and arbitration with external counsel
• Deliver legal awareness and compliance training programs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams
Eligibility
• Qualified Company Secretary (mandatory)
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in corporate/commercial law
• Strong experience in board management, statutory compliance, and governance
• Proven ability to independently handle complex legal matters
• FMCG/manufacturing sector experience preferred
• Listed entity exposure is an added advantage
• On-site role (candidates must be able to commute)
