Global Advocacy & Legal Counsel (GALC) is inviting applications for the position of Criminal Legal Director / Senior Lawyer to lead its Criminal Law Practice in Dubai. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned criminal law practitioner with deep UAE experience, strong courtroom presence, and proven team leadership.

Language Requirement: Arabic and English (Arabic mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage complex criminal matters across investigation, prosecution, and trial stages
• Represent clients before UAE criminal courts, public prosecution, and relevant authorities
• Provide strategic advice on sensitive and high-profile criminal cases
• Supervise, mentor, and manage senior and junior lawyers, trainees, and clerks
• Review, draft, and approve pleadings, memoranda, legal opinions, and case strategies
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, court procedures, and ethical standards
• Drive practice development, client relationship management, and firm reputation
• Coordinate with firm leadership on practice strategy, staffing, and performance
Eligibility and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); higher qualifications preferred
• 10 to 15 years of criminal law practice experience within the UAE
• Licensed and authorised to appear before UAE criminal courts
• In-depth knowledge of UAE Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Law, and allied regulations
• Strong courtroom advocacy and case management skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
• Excellent command of Arabic; strong English proficiency
• High ethical standards, discretion, and sound professional judgment
