Peritum Partners is inviting applications for the position of Civil & Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Disputes team in Chennai. This role offers active exposure to litigation before the High Court and subordinate courts, with responsibility for drafting, court procedures, and matter coordination.
Position: Civil & Commercial Litigation Associate
Experience: 1–2 years PQE
Location: Chennai
Role Responsibilities
• Handling civil and commercial litigation matters before the High Court and subordinate courts
• Drafting pleadings, applications, case briefs, and client updates
• Managing court procedures and case coordination
• Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
• Coordinating with clients, senior counsel, and internal teams
• Participating in client meetings and strategy discussions
Eligibility Criteria
• Demonstrable experience appearing before High Courts and trial courts
• Strong grounding in civil and commercial laws (original side practice preferred)
• Ability to independently handle drafting and legal research
• Fluency in English and Tamil (spoken and written)
• Must be based in Chennai
