IndiaLaw LLP is inviting applications for an Associate (3 years PQE) to join its IBC and Banking Litigation team at the Mumbai (Fort) office. This role is suited for litigators with hands-on insolvency and recovery experience who regularly appear before NCLT and DRT.
Location: Mumbai – Fort
Experience: 3 years PQE (IBC and Banking Litigation)
Eligibility: Mumbai-based candidates only
Role and Responsibilities
• Drafting and filing Section 7, 9 and 10 applications under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016
• Handling CIRP applications, interlocutory matters, and resolution proceedings
• Representing financial creditors, operational creditors, and corporate debtors before NCLT (Mumbai Bench)
• Managing recovery proceedings before DRT
• Handling matters under the SARFAESI Act
• Drafting written submissions, replies, rejoinders, and settlement documentation
• Conducting legal research and preparing detailed briefs
• Client interaction, case strategy, and end-to-end matter management
Eligibility Criteria
• 3 years PQE in IBC and banking litigation
• Prior appearance experience before NCLT and DRT
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently handle matters
• Sound knowledge of IBC, SARFAESI, and recovery laws
