Role Overview
The selected candidate will work closely with partners and senior members of the disputes team, handling arbitration proceedings, related litigation, and client advisory assignments.
Key Responsibilities
• Handling domestic and international commercial arbitrations (ad hoc and institutional)
• Drafting statements of claim, defence, rejoinders, written submissions, and procedural applications
• Appearing before arbitral tribunals and High Courts in arbitration-related proceedings (Sections 9, 11, 34, 37, etc.)
• Advising clients on arbitration strategy, risk assessment, and dispute management
• Conducting research on arbitration law, procedure, and precedents
• Assisting partners in hearings, trials, and client conferences
• Coordinating with counsel, arbitrators, experts, and opposing teams
• Managing junior associates and interns, including mentoring and review of work
• Ensuring adherence to procedural timelines and client deliverables
Eligibility & Qualifications
• LL.B. degree from a recognised university in India
• 4–7 years PQE in arbitration and dispute resolution
• Strong experience in commercial arbitration and related litigation
• Prior experience at a reputed law firm or chambers preferred
• Sound knowledge of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, CPC, and relevant commercial laws
