A growing Data Protection & Privacy / TMT practice is looking to onboard a lawyer with 2–3 years PQE who is keen to build a long-term practice in privacy, technology, and emerging digital regulation.
This is an opportunity to work closely with partners and senior team members on high-impact advisory and regulatory mandates across sectors.
Role Overview
You will be involved in a broad mix of advisory, transactional, and regulatory work, including:
Core Privacy Work
• Supporting and coordinating large-scale privacy compliance projects, audits, and data protection assessments
• Drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related privacy documentation
• Advising on international data transfers and cross-border data frameworks
• Assisting clients with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
• Advising on direct marketing compliance, cookies, and consent frameworks
• Exposure to advisory mandates involving AI, AdTech, and emerging technology issues
Broader Exposure & Collaboration
• Advising clients across TMT, fintech, healthcare, and digital business sectors
• Working with commercial teams on data-related aspects of complex technology transactions
• Supporting corporate teams on data protection considerations in M&A and other deals
• Assisting clients during cybersecurity incidents, including regulatory coordination and incident management
• Participating in client development initiatives and engaging with the wider privacy community
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 2–3 years PQE with relevant exposure in privacy, TMT, or technology law
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and business understanding
• Genuine interest in technology regulation and digital governance
