The Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) has opened applications for its 2025–26 funding schemes. With a total of £66,000 allocated, these schemes aim to support research, international collaboration, fieldwork, and knowledge exchange in socio-legal studies. The maximum award limits have also been revised upwards to enable greater academic impact and visibility.
Eligibility
Applications are open to SLSA members working in socio-legal research at various career stages, including PhD candidates and established scholars. Each funding scheme has its own criteria, so applicants should carefully review the specific requirements on the SLSA website.
Roles and Responsibilities
Successful applicants are expected to:
- Conduct and complete their proposed project or activity within the agreed timeframe.
- Ensure that the funded work contributes to the broader development of socio-legal scholarship.
- Acknowledge SLSA’s support in all outputs, including publications, events, and collaborations.
- Share outcomes with the SLSA community through dissemination activities, reports, or presentations.
