About the Opportunity
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Tampa invites applications for three (3) tenure-track Assistant Professor positions, beginning August 2026. The Department offers both undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.S.) programs in Criminology and Criminal Justice and values faculty who combine teaching excellence with active research engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Teach three courses per semester (undergraduate and graduate levels)

Engage in independent research and publication

Advise criminology and criminal justice majors

Contribute to departmental and university service
Qualifications

Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline (required at the time of appointment)

Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research

Publication record and clear research agenda

Ability to teach core and elective courses in the department
