The Cross-Examination Moot is a unique global initiative designed to enhance advocacy skills with a specific focus on cross-examination in arbitration proceedings. It brings together students, practitioners, and academics to simulate the dynamics of international arbitration, particularly under the ICC framework. Through rigorous preparation and realistic hearings, participants gain practical insights into one of the most critical aspects of dispute resolution.

Eligibility
The Moot is open to law students from across the world who have a keen interest in arbitration and advocacy. Prior mooting experience is not mandatory; what matters is curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to engage with international arbitration practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participants: Prepare memorials, conduct cross-examination, and present arguments before experienced arbitrators.

  • Coaches: Guide teams in developing advocacy strategies, drafting, and oral skills.

  • Arbitrators: Practitioners and academics adjudicate rounds, offering feedback grounded in real-world arbitration practice.
