The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) invites applications for its prestigious International Affairs Fellowship (IAF) 2026–27. This program offers mid-career professionals, academics, and policymakers the opportunity to conduct research and gain hands-on experience in the United States, Europe, Indonesia, and Japan. The fellowship is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice in foreign policy and international relations.
Eligibility
- Open to mid-career professionals from academia, government, NGOs, journalism, and the private sector.
- Applicants should demonstrate substantial professional experience and a proven commitment to international affairs.
- U.S. citizens may apply for placements abroad; non-U.S. citizens are eligible for placements in the United States.
Roles & Responsibilities
