Job Role: Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Specialist
Location: Gurugram
Eligibility
-
3–4 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance within private equity, investment banking, asset management, or insurance.
-
Strong knowledge of AML, sanctions, fraud, anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), tax evasion, and regulatory frameworks like FATF/OFAC.
-
Experience using screening and risk platforms such as Quantifind, Factiva, World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance.
-
Familiarity with fund structures, private placements, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), and due diligence for high-net-worth investors.
-
Understanding of KYC regulations relevant to Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, and/or US jurisdictions.
-
Knowledge of fraud risks in insurance and annuity products is advantageous.

High attention to detail, integrity, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
A. Meetings & PPM Approvals
-
Review external meetings and documents to ensure client classification and suitability checks, identifying financial crime risks.
-
Assess Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs) for compliance.
-
Screen participants and jurisdictions against sanctions and adverse media lists.
-
Collaborate with regional FCC and business teams on risk escalations.
-
Maintain audit-ready documentation and timely task completion.
-
Assist with policy and control framework updates.
B. Investor KYC – Transfers & SMAs
-
Conduct KYC and due diligence on investors for fund transfers and SMA onboarding.
-
Analyze ownership, source of wealth/funds, and jurisdictional risks.
-
Coordinate with Legal, Business, and Operations teams to ensure smooth processes.
-
Support periodic and event-driven KYC reviews.
-
Help improve processes and documentation with global FCC teams.
C. Fraud Monitoring & Investigations
-
Investigate suspected fraud related to insurance policies and annuity contracts.
-
Analyze transaction data for suspicious activities.
-
Work with internal teams and external administrators for data collection.
-
Document findings and contribute to process enhancements.
-
Advise on fraud prevention.
D. Other Duties
-
Support metrics preparation, management information reporting, and process reviews.

Perform enhanced due diligence and high-risk client screenings.
-
Keep updated on FCC regulations, assess impacts, and recommend improvements.
-
Prepare clear due diligence reports with actionable insights.
-
Identify and implement efficiency improvements.
