The Daak Review, a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal, invites submissions for its upcoming Special Issue (December 2025) titled “States of Exceptions: Emergency, Populism and the Fragility of Democracy.” This issue aims to critically explore how states of exception shape modern political and social orders, and how democratic institutions respond—or fail to respond—to populist and authoritarian pressures.
About the Journal
The Daak Review publishes original, analytical, and reflective works at the intersection of society, politics, and culture. It also runs TheDaak Baithak, a weekly speaker series, and TheDaak Reading Group in Delhi, fostering critical discussion and public engagement with contemporary issues.
