The Brazilian Journal of International Politics (Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional) has announced an Open Competition Call for Papers for its Spring 2026 Special Issue, co-edited by Sasikumar Sundaram, Leonardo Ramos, and Begum Zorlu (Visiting Lecturer, City, University of London).
Theme:
“Global Disorder from the Global South”
This special issue invites scholars to rethink global disorder through perspectives rooted in the Global South—foregrounding critical voices from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The issue seeks to challenge dominant narratives in international relations and to explore how disorder, instability, and transformation are experienced, theorised, and resisted beyond Eurocentric frameworks.
Areas of Interest:
Submissions may address (but are not limited to):

Power, hierarchy, and resistance in global governance

Regional and local responses to global crises

Submission Guidelines:

Papers must engage critically with the theme of global disorder from Global South perspectives.

Selected papers will be workshopped and discussed with peer reviewers before final publication.
