About the Journal –
The Pretoria Student Law Review (PSLR) is a peer-reviewed, student-led legal journal affiliated with the University of Pretoria. It provides a platform for emerging legal thinkers, academics, and practitioners to contribute original and critical scholarship on pressing legal issues, with a strong emphasis on transformation, justice, and public interest.
About the Special Edition –
The 2025 Special Edition will focus on “The Law and Land Reform”, with particular reference to the newly promulgated Expropriation Act. This legislation has ignited extensive debate within the legal community and broader society—particularly regarding its alignment with constitutional principles and international standards. The edition seeks to explore whether this Act is a transformative tool for social justice or a regressive legal instrument. Comparative perspectives from other jurisdictions will also be welcomed.
