JCEL is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal committed to fostering research and discourse in environmental law, policy, and governance.

Submissions should explore legal, social, economic, and governance aspects of climate change, focusing on:
Climate Change and Economics
Climate Change and Design, Technology & Innovation
Climate Change and Business & Trade: Operations and Management
Climate Change and Law, Policy, and Governance
Climate Change and Geopolitical Issues (Armed Conflicts, Wars & Refugees)
Eligibility
Submissions are invited from students, academicians, researchers, and professionals in law, social sciences, and allied disciplines.
Submission Guidelines
Word Limit:
- Research Article: 4000-6000 words
- Case Study: 2500-3000 words
- Policy Analysis: 3000-4000 words
- Case Comment: 1500-3000 words
Formatting:
- Body: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, justified.
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, OSCOLA 4th edition. Substantive footnotes are allowed.
- Margins: Left – 1.5 inches, Right/Top/Bottom – 1 inch.
Abstract: Maximum 250 words.
Cover Letter (Separate Attachment):
- Title, author details (name, university, year of study, contact information).
- Declaration: Not published or under consideration elsewhere.
Plagiarism & Publication Ethics:
- Strictly no plagiarism. Submissions must follow UGC guidelines on academic integrity.
- Authors grant exclusive publication rights to JCEL.
