About NUSRL, Ranchi

The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, was established in 2010 under Jharkhand Act No. 4 of 2010 as the 14th National Law University in India. The university is dedicated to comprehensive legal education and fostering academic excellence.

About the Centre for Research in Human Rights and Subaltern Studies (CHRSS)

The CHRSS at NUSRL is committed to human rights protection and social justice, as enshrined in the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. It serves as a platform for research, advocacy, and policy recommendations on human rights issues.


About the NUSRL Journal of Human Rights

The NUSRL Journal of Human Rights is a peer-reviewed publication exploring global human rights issues through legal, political, and social lenses. The third volume invites submissions from:

  • Academicians
  • Legal Practitioners
  • Researchers
  • Postgraduate & Undergraduate Law Students

Call for Papers – Submission Categories

Research Papers (5000-8000 words)

  • Comprehensive legal analysis on human rights issues.
  • Co-authorship (up to two authors) permitted.

Articles (3000-4000 words)

  • Focused discussions on emerging trends & challenges in human rights.
  • Co-authorship not permitted.

Case Law Analysis (2000-3000 words)

  • Critical examination of key judgments affecting human rights.
  • Co-authorship not permitted.

All submissions must include an abstract (max. 250 words) with keywords.

Copyright Transfer

  • Authors must transfer copyright to NUSRL by signing and scanning a copyright form provided by CHRSS, NUSRL after manuscript submission.
