The Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) has opened its Call for Papers for the 2026 Annual Conference, inviting submissions to the Health Law and Bioethics stream. This long-standing and inclusive community welcomes papers exploring any aspect of healthcare law and ethics, broadly defined.

About the Stream
The Health Law and Bioethics stream brings together scholars examining the legal, ethical, and social dimensions of healthcare, biotechnology, and medical practice. It provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, bridging law, medicine, philosophy, and public policy.

Eligibility

  • Open to postgraduate students, early career researchers, and established academics.

  • Contributions from interdisciplinary scholars working on related topics are encouraged.

  • Papers may address areas such as medical decision-making, reproductive rights, AI in healthcare, patient autonomy, or emerging biotechnologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Submit an abstract outlining the focus and contribution of your paper.

  • Present your work at the SLSA 2026 Conference and engage with peers and experts in the field.
