The Faculty of Law, University of Lagos (UNILAG) invites submissions for upcoming editions of its two prestigious peer-reviewed journals — the Journal of Contemporary Law (JCL) and the Nigerian Juridical Review (NJR). Both journals aim to promote rigorous legal scholarship and thought leadership across diverse areas of law and policy.
Journal of Contemporary Law (JCL):
The JCL offers a platform for interdisciplinary, doctrinal, and practice-oriented research addressing contemporary legal challenges. It welcomes contributions in areas such as constitutionalism, corporate and financial law, environmental law, digital rights, gender and human rights, and law and development. Submissions that bring innovative and reform-oriented perspectives are particularly encouraged.
Nigerian Juridical Review (NJR):
The NJR seeks analytical and comparative reviews of appellate and significant trial court decisions, especially from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, ECOWAS Court, and other international tribunals. The journal encourages scholarship that shapes legal interpretation, judicial reasoning, and policy discourse both within and beyond Nigeria.
