About the Event:
The Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, in collaboration with Freie University Berlin and the Hertie School, invites submissions for the student and early-career research conference titled “Rethinking International Affairs in the Age of AI – A Policy Dialogue.”
The conference will bring together young scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore how Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity are transforming diplomacy, global governance, and international cooperation.

Eligibility:

  • Open to undergraduate (3rd year and above), Master’s, and PhD students, as well as recent graduates (within 2 years).

  • Participants from international relations, political science, public policy, law, and related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Themes:
Submissions may address (but are not limited to):

  • Tech geopolitics and strategic competition

  • Global governance and regulation of emerging technologies

  • Democracy, disinformation, and election security

  • Digital inclusion and AI for peace and development

Roles and Opportunities:

  • Selected participants will present their papers at the conference on November 27, 2025, at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

  • Engage in mentorship sessions with faculty from India and Europe.

  • Receive joint certificates from Freie University Berlin, Hertie School, and Jadavpur University.
