Applications are now open for the 2026 Asian Law Junior Scholars Workshop, to be held on 27–28 July 2026 at Harvard Law School.
This workshop is designed to support junior scholars entering the law teaching market, particularly those working on law in Asia, by offering a platform to present research, receive feedback, and engage with leading academics.
📚 About the Workshop
The workshop focuses on scholarship relating to law in Asia, broadly defined to include:
• Law, legal history, and legal philosophy across East, Southeast, and South Asia
• International law with substantial relevance to Asia
Participants will:
• Present their research (including job market papers)
• Receive feedback from senior scholars and peers
• Participate in discussions on academic hiring and the law teaching market
👩🎓 Eligibility
• Advanced doctoral students (law or related disciplines)
• Recent JD graduates
• VAPs / Fellows
• Candidates planning to enter the law teaching market (US/Canada) between 2026–2028
Additional Requirement:
• Law degree from a program conducted in English (preference for US/Canada programs)
💰 Funding & Support
• Up to $750 travel funding
• Lodging and meals in Cambridge fully covered
