The Centre for Sports Law & Policy (CSLP) at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) is a leading institution dedicated to legal research, education, and policy advocacy in sports law. The Centre actively engages in research projects, international seminars, workshops, and student-led initiatives, addressing key issues such as sports governance, doping, athlete rights, intellectual property, and ethics.

About KreedaShastra: A Guide to Global Sports Law

The CSLP is launching its landmark book titled “KreedaShastra: A Guide to Global Sports Law”, slated for publication in June 2025. This pioneering work aims to fill the gaps in academic and professional discourse in the evolving field of sports law.

Themes and Focus Areas

KreedaShastra will explore key contemporary challenges, including:

  • Globalization of Sports: Legal and policy hurdles in an integrated sports ecosystem.
  • Technology and Innovation: Legal and ethical implications of VAR, wearable technology, and AI in sports.
  • Sports and Human Rights: Equity, diversity, and inclusion in global sports governance.
  • Economic Dimensions: Governance and regulation of the sports industry.
  • Ethics & Dispute Resolution: Arbitration, mediation, and governance reforms.

Call for Submissions

The CSLP invites original and unpublished contributions in the following categories:

  • Research Articles: 3,000 – 5,000 words
  • Case Commentaries: 1,000 – 3,000 words
  • Short Notes: 2,000 – 3,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1,000 – 2,000 words

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must strictly adhere to the OSCOLA citation format.
  • Manuscripts must be original and plagiarism-free. AI-generated content will not be accepted.
  • All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
  • The deadline for submissions is April 12, 2025.
