About the Book:
Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group) invites chapter proposals for an upcoming edited volume titled Policing in Modern India: Decolonization, Institutional Transformation, and Reform Pathways. The book is part of the series Advances in Police Theory and Practice and aims to offer critical, evidence-based insights into modern policing in India. The volume seeks to bridge theory and practice by combining contributions from scholars, practitioners, researchers, and legal experts engaged with police reforms and contemporary challenges.

The edited volume is led by:

  • Dr. Baidyanath Mukherjee, AURO University

  • Dr. G. K. Goswami, Ex-IPS, Founding Director, UPSPFS Lucknow

  • Dr. Meera Mathew, Mar Gregorios College of Law

Eligibility:

  • Academics, researchers, practitioners, legal professionals, and policy experts working on policing, justice systems, cybercrime, institutional reform, or related domains.

  • Early-career researchers and doctoral scholars with relevant work are also encouraged to apply.

  • New criminal laws and shifts from punishment to justice

  • Investigative challenges in cybercrime and white-collar offences

  • Digital surveillance, privacy rights, and data protection

  • Community-oriented policing and education-driven reforms

  • Best practices for crime scene management, evidence integrity, and institutional transformation
