About:
Contributions are invited for an upcoming edited volume titled “Cultural Boundaries and Tragedies: Honour, Shame, and the Dynamics of Violence in South Asian Communities.” The book aims to critically examine the intersections of honour, shame, identity, and violence across South Asian cultural contexts through interdisciplinary and regionally grounded perspectives.
Eligibility:

Open to academics, researchers, and independent scholars from humanities and social sciences disciplines.

Submissions from early-career researchers and postgraduate students are also encouraged.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Contributors are expected to submit original, unpublished chapters engaging with themes such as:

Caste, religion, and community-based oppression

Diasporic experiences of cultural shame and violence

Representations of honour and tragedy in literature, media, and art
