Submission Guidelines

Synthesis accepts submissions on rolling-basis. 

Authors are allowed to co-author submissions, limited to a maximum of two authors. Submitted manuscripts must be original and should not have been published elsewhere. Professionals, academicians, students (including UG, PG and PhD students) from all educational streams (not just limited to law as the Society for Technology and Law aims to be a diverse platform encouraging interdisciplinary research) are encouraged to submit their pieces. 

Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification from publication on our platform. Manuscripts should not exceed 1800 words, excluding endnotes. Longer submissions may be considered for publication in parts, subject to editorial discretion, and authors should discuss this possibility with the Editorial Board.

The formatting requirements include using Garamond font, size 14, in Small Caps and bold for the title, and Garamond font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing for the body. Hyperlinks should be used in the body for all references, including supporting materials and legal texts. In cases where no hyperlink is available, endnotes can be used in any uniform citation style. Speaking endnotes or footnotes are not permitted.

Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’). A submission form is available, and authors are required to fill it out, here

Authors should include 4-5 keywords relevant to the theme and also provide a brief description (within 80 to 100 words) of their piece in the submission form. 

The evaluation criteria for submissions include the relevance of the article, content quality, language proficiency, and a preference for perspectives not adequately covered elsewhere.
