The Washington International Law Journal (WILJ) is launching its inaugural blog this fall and is now accepting submissions of short-form articles. This new initiative provides a platform for timely, accessible, and globally relevant commentary on pressing issues in international law.

Eligibility

  • Open to scholars, practitioners, and students worldwide.

  • Submissions should be original, unpublished, and relevant to international law and related fields.

Scope and Focus Areas

  • Short-form blogs between 1,000–1,500 words.

  • Engagement with current events and emerging issues in international law.

  • Suggested areas include (but are not limited to): international relations, business, technology, environmental law, public health, and human rights.

Roles and Responsibilities of Contributors

  • Produce analytically sound and concise writing suitable for a global audience.

  • Ensure proper sourcing and adherence to the Journal’s guidelines.

  • Contribute to shaping the discourse on contemporary international law issues.
