The Washington International Law Journal (WILJ) is launching its inaugural blog this fall and is now accepting submissions of short-form articles. This new initiative provides a platform for timely, accessible, and globally relevant commentary on pressing issues in international law.
Eligibility

Open to scholars, practitioners, and students worldwide.

Submissions should be original, unpublished, and relevant to international law and related fields.
Scope and Focus Areas

Short-form blogs between 1,000–1,500 words.

Engagement with current events and emerging issues in international law.

Suggested areas include (but are not limited to): international relations, business, technology, environmental law, public health, and human rights.
Roles and Responsibilities of Contributors

Produce analytically sound and concise writing suitable for a global audience.

Ensure proper sourcing and adherence to the Journal’s guidelines.

Contribute to shaping the discourse on contemporary international law issues.
