About
Debargha Roy, Founder of Project Saathi and Research Fellow at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, is inviting applications for a virtual Research Assistant position. The role will support ongoing work with Project Saathi, public interest litigations, and independent academic and policy research.

This is a paid position, with flexible working hours and a negotiable stipend based on the candidate’s experience and availability.

Eligibility

  • Law students in their 4th or 5th year of a five-year programme (final year preferred)

  • Prior experience in legal research or publications in areas such as:

    • Right to Education and child rights

    • Intellectual Property Law

    • Constitutional Law

    • Regulatory Design

  • Demonstrated interest in academic writing, policy work, or the non-profit sector

  • Applications from candidates belonging to socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in interdisciplinary legal research across focus areas

  • Support in preparing materials for public interest litigations and policy briefs

  • Contribute to academic writing, with potential co-authorship opportunities

  • Engage in knowledge-building under direct mentorship in public law and policy
