About
Debargha Roy, Founder of Project Saathi and Research Fellow at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, is inviting applications for a virtual Research Assistant position. The role will support ongoing work with Project Saathi, public interest litigations, and independent academic and policy research.
This is a paid position, with flexible working hours and a negotiable stipend based on the candidate’s experience and availability.
Eligibility

Law students in their 4th or 5th year of a five-year programme (final year preferred)

Prior experience in legal research or publications in areas such as:

Right to Education and child rights
-
Intellectual Property Law
-
Constitutional Law
-
Regulatory Design
-

Demonstrated interest in academic writing, policy work, or the non-profit sector

Applications from candidates belonging to socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged
Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in interdisciplinary legal research across focus areas

Support in preparing materials for public interest litigations and policy briefs

Contribute to academic writing, with potential co-authorship opportunities

Engage in knowledge-building under direct mentorship in public law and policy
