About the Fellowship
The Stimson Center’s South Asia Program invites applications for its 2026 Visiting Fellowship. This prestigious opportunity brings together emerging thought leaders from India and Pakistan to deepen regional policy dialogue on geopolitics and security. Fellows will spend the summer in Washington, D.C., engaging with experts, policymakers, and researchers to advance collaborative scholarship on South Asia.
Eligibility

Applicants must be citizens of India or Pakistan.

7–15 years of relevant professional experience is required.

Demonstrated interest in South Asian geopolitics and security issues.

Strong record of research, policy engagement, or thought leadership.
Roles and Responsibilities

Participate in a residency program in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2026.

Conduct independent research on issues shaping South Asian security and geopolitics.

Engage with U.S. and South Asian experts through dialogues, seminars, and roundtables.

Publish original analysis with South Asian Voices and contribute to the Stimson Center’s policy work.
