Applications are invited for submission of abstracts for a research workshop titled “Towards a Pan-African Reparations Agenda: Contestations, Disputations and Prospects.” The workshop will be convened at the Centre for African Studies (CAS), University of Cape Town, South Africa, and aims to provide a platform for academic engagement on reparative justice and related global movements.
The workshop focuses on the growing global discourse around reparations linked to slavery, colonialism, apartheid, and systemic racial oppression, alongside movements such as Black Lives Matter and the decolonisation of knowledge.
