About the Organiser:
The BJP Legal Cell is an important wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), focused on providing legal support, advice, and expertise to the party and its members. It plays a key role in addressing legal issues related to the party’s activities, policies, and governance. The cell is responsible for offering legal guidance on constitutional matters, election law, legislative matters, and any legal challenges faced by the party or its representatives.
About the Competition:
The BJP Legal Cell, Delhi Pradesh, is proud to announce an article writing competition focusing on two significant legislations: One Nation, One Election and the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025. These reforms are pivotal for the transformation of our country’s governance framework and reflect the BJP’s enduring commitment to integral humanism and good governance. We invite law students to critically articulate their perspectives on these major reforms and the development they will promote while providing them with a platform for nurturing & disseminating intellectual discourse.
Objective of the competition:
The competition aims to foster critical thinking and meaningful discourse amongst legal professionals while promoting informed public discourse. The BJP Legal Cell, Delhi, has always endeavoured to nurture young talent, and this competition aims to promote our nation’s emerging legal minds who demonstrate sharp analytical thinking and articulate writing skills. The selected articles will be widely disseminated within the legal fraternity to encourage and promote critical thinking and to promote emerging legal minds in the community.
Theme:
1. One Nation, One Election: One Nation, One Election proposes synchronising elections for the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies to reduce costs, streamline governance, and minimise disruptions caused by frequent elections.
2. Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025: The Waqf (Amendment) Act seeks to enhance transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the management of waqf properties. It introduces reforms such as mandatory registration, gender representation, and digitization.
*Participants may choose any sub-theme of the given broad theme.
Eligibility:
Open to all Law Students (U.G., LL.M. or PhD)
Single and team authorship (maximum 2) is accepted
Registration Fees:
There is no registration fees for participating in the Competition

Submissions should be original and unpublished
All submissions shall undergo Turnitin plagiarism check and submissions with plagiarism above 15% (excluding citations) will be disqualified
