About
Princeton in Asia (PiA) offers young professionals a unique, immersive one-year fellowship experience across diverse countries in Asia. For the 2026–27 cycle, fellows will be placed in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macao S.A.R., Mongolia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. Fellowships span areas such as education, economic development, arts and culture, environmental sustainability, public health, peace and justice, sports, and STEM.

Eligibility

  • Open to applicants from any country and any university background
  • Recent graduates and early-career professionals from all disciplines are encouraged to apply
  • Strong interest in cross-cultural exchange, community engagement, and professional growth

Roles and Responsibilities
As a PiA Fellow, you will:

  • Live and work in a host country for one to two years
  • Contribute to projects in your focus area (e.g., education, public health, arts, environment, STEM)
  • Build meaningful cross-cultural relationships and professional networks
  • Gain hands-on international experience while supporting local communities
