Esya Centre is inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant (Law) to join its dynamic team. The role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy, contributing to research projects, policy analysis, and evidence-based policy recommendations.
Position Details:
• Role: Research Assistant (Law)
• Organisation: Esya Centre
• Location: New Delhi
• Mode: Hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in-office)
• Employment: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to research projects, policy analysis, and public discourse.
• Develop evidence-based policy recommendations.
• Work on research themes including digital antitrust, AI and emerging technologies, creative and green economies, and internet and data governance.
• Prepare research outputs such as memos, issue briefs, and white papers.
• Conduct research on technology markets, data protection, digital content regulation, IPR, and competition law.
• Analyse contemporary events through a legal and analytical lens.
• Contribute creative ideas to research and policy discussions.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) is the minimum requirement; Master’s degree preferred.
• Background in technology, digital markets, or related areas is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research is an advantage.
• Strong research, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
• Interest in technology policy, data protection, IPR, competition law, and emerging technologies.
