The School of Law, Dayananda Sagar University, is committed to shaping the next generation of legal professionals through a blend of academic excellence, practical training, and ethical grounding, offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to suit diverse career aspirations in law. Its undergraduate offerings include the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), which integrates law with social sciences for a well-rounded legal education; the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), which merges law with management studies for those aiming at corporate legal careers; and the LL.B. (3-Year Program), tailored for graduates from any discipline aspiring to enter the legal profession. At the postgraduate level, the School offers an LL.M. (1-Year Program) with specializations in Law and Technology, addressing the intersection of legal frameworks with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, and Intellectual Property, and in Corporate and Commercial Law, focused on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, international trade law, and commercial dispute resolution. The School’s Ph.D. Programme is a rigorous, research-intensive endeavor that fosters advanced scholarship in areas such as human rights, criminal justice, environmental law, corporate law, gender justice, and constitutional law, supported by seminars, colloquia, and expert interactions. About the Event

The School of Law, DSU, is organising a Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Legal Education: Pedagogical Innovations, Research Frontiers and Professional Applications,” to be held from 6th to 11th July 2026 in hybrid mode.

The FDP focuses on hands-on, industry-driven learning. Participants will work directly with legal tech experts and practicing professionals to design AI-integrated curriculum modules, develop gamified learning activities, create AI-enabled assessment tools, and draft research proposals at the intersection of AI and law. By the end of the programme, participants are expected to walk away with practical, ready-to-implement classroom tools and at least one preliminary research proposal/concept note.

Key objectives include building a critical understanding of AI’s intersection with law and legal education, examining national and international legal frameworks on AI, data privacy, and algorithmic accountability, and strengthening pedagogical and research capacities for AI-integrated legal teaching.
