Internship Description:

The Defence Team of Mr. Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona before the International Criminal Court (ICC) is inviting applications for a legal internship. This opportunity is ideal for law graduates with a strong interest in international criminal law and defence advocacy. Interns will gain valuable exposure to international criminal proceedings, legal research, evidence analysis, and defence case preparation at one of the world’s leading international judicial institutions.

• Duration: 3 Months (Extension Possible up to an Additional 3 Months)
• Start Date: Beginning of September 2026 (Exact Dates to be Confirmed)
• Mode: Full-Time, In-Person

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with legal research and analysis relating to international criminal law
• Draft legal memoranda and research notes
• Review and analyse evidentiary materials
• Support defence team members in case preparation and litigation strategy
• Contribute to legal and factual assessments relevant to ICC proceedings

Eligibility & Preference:
• Law Degree required
• Strong interest in International Criminal Law, particularly defence work
• Experience in drafting legal memoranda and analysing evidence preferred
• Ability to commit full-time for the internship period
• Ability to relocate to The Hague for the duration of the internship
• Proficiency in English and French is mandatory
• Knowledge of Sango will be considered a significant advantage
