Opportunity Description:
The South Asian Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON.S South Asia) is inviting applications from early-career scholars for its Annual Workshop and Conference 2027. The programme aims to foster rigorous academic engagement, scholarly collaboration, and capacity-building among researchers working on public law issues in South Asia.
The in-person workshop is tentatively scheduled for 8–9 January 2027, followed by a conference on 10 January 2027 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Eligibility & Preference:
• Early-career scholars working on public law in South Asia
• Must hold a Master’s degree, Ph.D., or be actively pursuing a Ph.D. in Law or an allied discipline
• Applicants holding a Ph.D. must have received the degree after 1 January 2019
• Strong interest in constitutional law, public law, governance, and related interdisciplinary fields preferred
Submission Requirements:
• 1,000-word abstract on a topic related to public law in South Asia
• Updated CV (Maximum 2 Pages)
• Selected abstracts will be developed into a 10,000–12,000-word manuscript
Important Dates:
• Abstract Submission Deadline: 30 June 2026 (11:59 PM IST)
• Final Manuscript Submission Deadline (for shortlisted participants): 30 November 2026
