Opportunity | Associate Trainee / Assessment Intern | Tax & Litigation Practice | New Delhi

Opportunity Description:

Applications are invited from motivated final-year law students and freshers for the position of Associate Trainee / Assessment Intern, with the opportunity to convert into a full-time Associate role.

The firm may engage up to 2 candidates for assessment; however, only 1 candidate will ultimately be selected for the Associate position.

This opportunity offers extensive practical exposure to GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, litigation, advisory, compliance, and allied legal practice areas.


Details:

• Position: Associate Trainee / Assessment Intern
• Location: Rajendra Place, New Delhi
• Mode: In-Office Only
• Assessment Period: 6 Months

Remuneration:

• During Assessment: ₹10,000 per month
• On Conversion to Associate: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (CTC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research on GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, and allied laws
• Researching statutes, rules, notifications, circulars, and case law
• Drafting replies to notices, appeals, writ petitions, legal opinions, and written submissions
• Assisting in litigation before adjudicating authorities, appellate forums, and tribunals
• Supporting advisory, compliance, documentation, and matter management work
• Tracking deadlines, hearings, and case updates
• Assisting in matters related to Intellectual Property Law, Civil Law, and other practice areas

Eligibility & Preference:

• Final-year students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Freshers with up to 1 year of experience may also apply
• Final-year students must intend to enrol with their respective State Bar Council upon graduation
• Freshers must already be enrolled as Advocates or be awaiting their AIBE results
• Strong legal research and drafting skills required
• Familiarity with Manupatra and SCC is mandatory

Important Notes:

• Selection as an Assessment Intern/Associate Trainee does not guarantee conversion into an Associate role
• The firm reserves the right to terminate the association at its discretion
• Candidates must be willing to work physically from the office throughout the engagement
• Remote work or work-from-home arrangements are not available
