About the Opportunity:
The Centre for Law, Policy and Governance under the Nation First Policy Research & Change Foundation (NFPRC Foundation) is inviting applications for a paid internship opportunity for a project on “One Nation One Election (ONOE).”
The internship offers law students and recent graduates an opportunity to engage in high-level constitutional, comparative, and policy research concerning synchronised elections and governance reforms. Selected interns will work on comparative global case studies, constitutional frameworks, implementation models, and policy analysis related to ONOE.

About the Project:
The ONOE proposal is presently under active consideration in India, including constitutional amendment discussions and parliamentary scrutiny. The project aims to examine comparative global practices where synchronised elections are implemented and study their legal, political, and institutional frameworks.
The internship will involve analysing how different countries structure election alignment mechanisms, manage political processes, and implement constitutional and governance reforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct country-specific legal and political research
• Analyse constitutional texts, statutes, case laws, and policy documents
• Prepare comparative legal and policy frameworks
• Study implementation models and governance mechanisms
• Draft analytical notes and policy outputs
• Evaluate legal and institutional challenges in synchronised election systems
• Engage with comparative constitutional and political frameworks
Eligibility:
• Law students
• Recent law graduates
Required Skills:
• Strong legal reasoning and analytical abilities
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Ability to structure and synthesise complex materials
Preferred Qualifications:
• Interest in constitutional law, governance, and political economy
• Ability to independently conduct research with minimal supervision
