About the Organisers

Established in 1998 by the Government of the NCT of Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a premier institution dedicated to excellence in professional and interdisciplinary education. Strategically located in the national capital, the University provides an intellectually vibrant environment that bridges academic rigour with policy relevance. Established in 2001, the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS) is one of India’s most distinguished public law schools, located near key constitutional courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies. USLLS offers a comprehensive suite of programmes, including the Five-Year Integrated Law Programme, LL.B., LL.M., PhD, and Post-Doctoral Research, and is widely recognised for its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary legal education. The curriculum integrates contemporary domains such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, Client Counselling, Policy Research, and Advocacy, preparing students for careers across litigation, judiciary, academia, governance, and international institutions. Driven by a commitment to academic excellence, critical inquiry, and practical engagement, USLLS aspires to emerge as an internationally recognised hub for legal scholarship and global legal dialogue.

About the Event

Indraprastha Model United Nations 2026 (IPMUN’26) is the flagship international relations and diplomacy simulation hosted by USLLS, GGSIPU. It brings together motivated students from universities and schools across disciplines to deliberate upon urgent global challenges confronting the international community. Designed as a high-impact, academically rigorous UN simulation, IPMUN’26 goes beyond conventional debate by offering participants realistic exposure to multilateral diplomacy, international law, and global governance, while emphasising solution-oriented dialogue, consensus-building, and principled negotiation. In a time marked by geopolitical instability, rapid technological advancement, evolving security threats, and persistent inequalities, the conference provides a credible platform for informed engagement, leadership development, and intellectual exchange. It promotes inclusivity, critical thinking, and global responsibility, ensuring a transformative experience for every delegate.

Committees & Agendas

  1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)

Agenda: Examining the Human Rights Implications of Artificial Intelligence, with emphasis on child safety online, educational dependency, and mitigating digital inequalities in a globalised world.

  1. United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

Agenda: Threats to International Peace and Security posed by terrorist acts, with focus on counter-terrorism strategies amid the proliferation of ballistic missiles, drone warfare, and global militarisation.

  1. United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)

Agenda: Strengthening women’s roles in peacekeeping and conflict resolution under the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda.
