My Legal Partners (MLP) is inviting applications for the position of Associate Advocate – IPR at its West Delhi office. This role is suited for candidates with 1–2 years PQE looking to build a long-term career in intellectual property law, particularly in trademark practice.
Position Details
• Role: Associate Advocate – IPR
• Experience: 1–2 years PQE
• Qualification: LL.B. (3-year or 5-year)
• Location: West Delhi (near Ramesh Nagar / Rajouri Garden / Kirti Nagar)
About the Role
The role focuses on trademark prosecution, advisory, and portfolio management, with exposure to end-to-end IP processes including filings, oppositions, and hearings. The selected candidate will work closely on client matters and registry proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct trademark searches and provide legal opinions
• Manage filings, renewals, and prosecution of trademark applications
• Maintain and update client trademark portfolios
• Draft legal opinions and respond to client queries on IP practices
• Prepare notices of opposition, counter-statements, evidence, rectifications, and rejoinders
• Attend show cause hearings before the Trademark Registry
Ideal Candidate
• 1–2 years PQE with experience in trademark work
• Strong drafting and research skills
• Familiarity with trademark procedures and registry practice
• Ability to handle client interaction and advisory work
• Based within 8–10 km proximity of the office
