The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), in collaboration with UNESCO MGIEP and the GCED Youth Network, is inviting applications for the 12th Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED).
The workshop will be conducted under the theme “Translating Peace into Action: Leveraging Media and the Arts.” It aims to bring together young leaders from across the world to explore how media, creativity, and advocacy can be used to advance peace, global citizenship, and meaningful community engagement.

The program seeks to empower youth leaders to critically engage with global challenges and develop creative approaches to promoting peace and social impact through storytelling, media, and the arts.
Workshop Details
• Main Workshop (In-person): 8–12 June 2026
• Pre-Workshop (Online): 12–14 May 2026
• Location: Seoul, South Korea
• Participants: 40 young leaders from ODA recipient countries (eligibility details available in the concept note)
Funding and Support
All expenses for selected participants will be fully covered, including:
• Round-trip international airfare to and from Seoul
• Accommodation and meals
• Local transportation during the workshop
