Nation First Policy Research Centre (NFPRC), through its Center for Law, Policy and Governance (CLPG), is inviting applications for a 6–8 month consultancy engagement. This role offers a strong opportunity for legal researchers interested in the law–policy interface to work on an evidence-based policy report examining the impact of India’s new criminal laws — BNS, BNSS, and BSA — on the criminal justice system.
The position is best suited for candidates who are comfortable with rigorous legal research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement in a research-driven environment.
📍 Location: Noida (Onsite)
⏳ Engagement: 6–8 Months (Consultancy)
📋 Role & Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth legal research covering case law, statutes, and procedural reforms
• Support policy analysis through synthesis of legal developments and implementation outcomes
• Conduct structured stakeholder interviews (judicial officers, practitioners, officials) and prepare summaries
• Contribute to report writing and related organisational work
✅ Eligibility Criteria
• 1–2 years of experience in legal research (criminal law preferred)
• Strong interest in public policy and the law–policy interface
• Ability to draft clear, structured policy briefs and research notes
• Experience designing and conducting interviews
• Strong analytical approach with attention to detail
