The Centre for Law, Technology and Policy (CLTP), Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur, is pleased to announce an Expert Lecture on “Data Privacy and Security” as part of its continuing academic initiatives focused on interdisciplinary engagement with contemporary legal and technological challenges.
The session is designed to provide students and faculty with both practical and conceptual insights into evolving privacy and security frameworks in an increasingly data-driven ecosystem.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Amit Kumar Padhy (CIPP/E, CIPM, CISA, CISM) as the resource person for the lecture.

Dr. Padhy brings extensive international experience across data protection, AI governance, technology risk, and global compliance ecosystems. He currently serves as:

• Manager and AVP – Technology Risk, National Bank of Fujairah (UAE)
• Multi-Domain Compliance Advisor – Microsoft (USA)
• Director – AI Governance, Privacy and GRC, SandBox Security (UAE)
The lecture will focus on operationalising data privacy and security frameworks in practice, while also exploring emerging career pathways and opportunities across law firms, international consulting organisations, and global multinational corporations.
This session aims to bridge academic learning with industry expectations within the technology law and policy ecosystem.
