The Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA Law) – MP Chapter, in collaboration with the Centre for Business and Commercial Laws, NLIU Bhopal, and sponsored by S&R Associates, is pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd IDIA–CBCL National Essay Writing Competition.
The Competition seeks to encourage rigorous academic engagement in business and commercial laws while advancing IDIA’s larger vision of access and inclusion within the legal profession.
This initiative offers not only monetary recognition but also a platform for meaningful academic publication and engagement through the CBCL Blog.

• Registrations Open: 27 January 2026

• Last Date for Submission of Manuscripts: 07 August 2026
• Declaration of Results: 31 August 2026
Eligibility
• Students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in Law
• Working legal professionals, including advocates, law firm professionals, academicians, and researchers
Awards
• Winner: INR 25,000/- + Internship with S&R Associates (for law students) + Publication in the CBCL Blog
• First Runner(s)-Up: INR 20,000/- + Publication in the CBCL Blog
• Second Runner(s)-Up: INR 15,000/- + Publication in the CBCL Blog
• Certificate of Merit for Top 10 manuscripts
• Certificate of Participation for all participants
Registration Details
• Single-authored entry: INR 300/-
• Co-authored entry: INR 500/-
• Concessional Fee (INR 100/-) for IDIA Scholars, CAN Foundation Scholars, and PwD category participants
• Maximum of two authors permitted for co-authored submissions
