THE MOOT PROPOSITION
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (“DPDP Act”) was enacted with the primary objective of safeguarding the privacy of individuals in the digital age. This has expanded the scope and powers of regulatory authorities, granting them unprecedented access to personal data under the guise of national security and cybercrime prevention. The Moot Proposition will engage the students in these aspects and put them to the test to showcase their research and understanding.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act has emerged as a catalyst for the evolution of cyber law, ushering in a new era of enhanced data protection, individual rights, and global cooperation. As technology continues to advance, the DPDP Act serves as a dynamic framework that adapts to the challenges of the digital age, ensuring a balance between innovation, security, and the right to privacy. The moot proposition delves into other aspects of application of data privacy like Artificial Intelligence and copyright laws.
