Supreme Court of India | Judicial Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate Examination 2026

Supreme Court of India has released the official notification for engagement of Law Clerks-cum-Research Associates (2026–27) on a short-term contractual basis.

This is a full-time research-intensive role offering direct exposure to judicial decision-making at the highest constitutional court in the country.

Position: Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate
Number of positions: ~90 (tentative)
Tenure: 2026–2027 (contractual)
Remuneration: ₹1,00,000 per month (consolidated)


🎓 Eligibility

• Law graduates from a BCI-recognised institution
• Final year students of 5-year or 3-year LL.B. courses may apply (subject to completion before joining)
• Strong legal research, analytical writing, and database proficiency required
Age limit: 20–32 years as on 07 February 2026


📝 Selection Process

• Part I: MCQ-based test
• Part II: Subjective written test
• Part III: Interview

Date of Written Examination: 07 March 2026
Test Centres: 23 cities across India
